Since drawing portraits of older and under-utilized characters was something I was using as a bit of a "comfort subject"/practice for getting back into art, here's more portrait cuteposting, this time featuring Autumn, another one of those characters of mine that seem to exist solely for the purpose of being eye candy.

I'm not sure why I don't like it as much as some of the others, either. That's not to say I dislike how it, of course, and I'm glad you like how this turned out. There are a couple others I did around the same time I wasn't super satisfied with, either.
In hindsight, it actually did come out fairly well, I suppose I just like a lot of my other portraits a lot more than this one for one reason or another. I did try a couple of different things at once here, both a different head shape and different hair style, maybe that simply makes her look a bit too "different" from my usual art.
I have been trying a few new things here and there, and because I have gotten into something of a rut with how I do certain things, perhaps any attempt at changing that just looks a bit "off"?

Not sure why you don't like this as much, there is a lot of personality on show, the slight parting of the lips really adds to the friendliness, center parting the hair makes her quite different from a lot of your other characters but it's nice.
