More random creature design, this time featuring something I can only describe as "what if a fennec was an octopus?", and I wound up really liking how it turned out.

While my previous cephalopod alien design from 2021 was sorta interesting, I thought it was a bit on the creepy side, and not all that fun to draw... so I decided to design something a bit simpler, a bit cuter, and a lot more fun.
While I don't plan on outright replacing Ceph with CephaloFox, the former did definitely inspire some aspects of the latter in terms of coloration and limb design, and I have yet to decide if the two coexist on the same planet, or inhabit different worlds and just coincidentally have similar sandy coloration.

I can see why this made it to your personal favorites folder! Back in 2005 a game was launched Oddworld Stranger's Wrath (If you don't know it I strongly recommend it). They gave it the tagline "Oddworld just got Stranger", pity it's already been said it would have fitted this beastie perfectly. I really like the why you have the eyes glow. I cannot explain why but I think this should be a sentient, social animal often finding work singing in very expensive clubs, (I'm going to close the door to that bit of my mind, lock it and walk away) It's hard to imagine how this would evolve but nature does some strange things, the spiny echidna is my go to example, an egg laying mammal that makes it's living sniffing worms up it's nose - I think we have all had worse jobs. Then there is always that hairless ape that keeps other animals captive so it can steel their hair to cover it's self, I hear they have now evolved to cover themselves with hair substitute they make from the fat of long dead sea creatures. What ever Gods may be really do have a sense of humor.
