Time for another World-Building Wednesday post... anybody remember those?
About a year ago, I drew a portrait of a Dupachyan astronaut, and had been meaning to draw their ship ever since, but finally got around to it in August... and I'm posting it in late October...

The Dupachyans, a race of hamster/gerbil-like aliens from a rocky Mars-like planet, are fairly early on in their development of FTL-capable spacecraft. As a result, they're still using fairly small, capsule-like craft, powered by tachyon drives, yet these craft are still quite useful for testing their interstellar drives and for exploration missions.
This particular craft has seating for two, and the antenna-like protrusions are actually what enables the tachyon field to encompass the ship not unlike how other types of deflector shields and warp fields work on more advanced spacecraft.
