Once Again Domec by LordDominic

Once Again Domec

LordDominic

It is once again Fat Friend Friday, you know what that means... more Fat Animals in Underwear, this time featuring Domec the chubby, dopey Space Antelope janitor/handyman space boy alternate fursona.

Find Me On:
FurAffinity Weasyl

Judging by the response to the last time I posted art of Domec wearing nothing but his undies and a cute smile, if he ever gets tired of the day-to-day routine of being the handyman, janitor, cook, supply-shuttle pilot and general "guy we turn to when there's odd jobs to be done around the cruiser", he could probably find some success as a performer at some sort of sleazy strip club on some sketchy space station.

Either way, it looks like all the positive attention gave him the confidence to pose a bit more confidently this time around.

Much like the "duh I dunno" pose, I was having fun with this kneeling pin-up pose and drew a few characters in the same pose, and have been trying to space them out to keep them from becoming too repetitive.

I have always thought it a crying shame that we humans do not have tails, the only problem is which type of tail would be the most advantageous. Prehensile to hold the light while leaving both hands free sounds great and would have been very useful when I worked as a climber, but I also envy my cat when it's cold and she curls up with her built in scarf draped over her nose.

Well, being primates, I imagine if humans had tails by default, they would have the same sort of prehensile tail as many other primates. This is one of those weird things that enables hybrid types like Skunk Boy and Tex to work in-universe, humans still have a bit of "tail code" left in their genetic makeup, that gets activated by whatever they are hybridized with, giving them the appropriate animal tail in most instances rather than a monkey tail.

As for Domec, and many of the other creatures I draw that aren't directly based on anything in the real world, I haven't given much thought to the tails or what functions they might serve outside of my personal aesthetic tastes. Domec's kind are descended from the Lucifer, and I haven't decided what their tails do either, aside from possibly being useful in combat somehow, and perhaps having some limited prehensile capability. Perhaps in a low-gravity environment, the tails could be used to help them move about either by acting as a rudder of sorts, or by moving their tails similar to how aquatic animals do, or even to push off of stationary objects to help them better position themselves or remain steady while working.
Of course, tails are also useful for communication, as they can play a huge role in body language--I'm certain lifting one's tail while bending over is a pretty universal invitation to a breeding partner, for example!
