He's a bit of a work-in-progress/"on the back burner" sort of project right now--I have, however, decided that he comes from a noble family, and is probably some sort of regional administrator or maybe an ambassador or representative.

I haven't quite worked out all the specifics of his kind and their society, although their planetary government seems to overall be some sort of socialist democracy and their world is a member of the Lightbearer Dominion, which I can best describe as "Space European Union".

I kinda like the idea of him being one of his world's representatives in the Dominion Parliament, and he's definitely cute and charming enough to make a good impression!
