An Assortment of Weapons

LordDominic

While I was organizing folders on my computer, I found an assortment of unfinished, previously unused, and variants of weapon art, and decided to combine them into one post.
This could be seen as a companion piece/expansion of this sheet of Cygnian Federation weapons from late 2019. I know some folks out there like seeing world-building stuff like this, and I like having random little references to world-building details readily available, so here we go!

Featuring the following weapons:
-Lightbearer Dominion Infantry Pistol: A standard-issue infantry pistol for Lightbearer Dominion forces. Making use of common yet time-tested and reliable Starfarer plasma blaster technology, these semi-automatic blasters are issued to military, security, and police forces alike, with many also falling into the hands of private citizens, criminals, and bounty hunters such as Wassa Rydaar.

-Reva Alliance Blaster Pistol: Similar in most regards to the Dominion's infantry pistol outside of some changes to the outer casing, the Reva Alliance (referred to as the "Reva Clan" in some older art, although some revisions behind the scenes now have the Reva as a band of smaller tribes and clans operating together) pistols make use of many of the same, or very similar, components, to the point where the power packs and many of the internal components are freely interchangeable.

-Zerdan Ion Burst Pistol: Used by Zerdan Homeworld Security Force agents such as Pax Zerdana, the Zerdan pistol operates a bit differently than most other blasters in-universe. Unlike most of my other space-faring races, whose blasters make use of some sort of plasma, Zerdans use ion-based weaponry, firing concentrated bursts of ionzed particles. These weapons are surprisingly powerful for their size, and are able to have their power output adjusted from a low-power setting meant to deliver painful but non-lethal stings (typically used for warning shots or in a similar capacity to the rubber bullets used by riot police on Earth to disperse crowds), to a "stun" setting which alters the energy profile of the ion burst to disrupt motor function in its target, to the high-energy setting used to inflict actual damage.

-Jeroban Pulse Pistols: Cygnian Federation "Pulse" weapons generally function by firing a pulse of charged particles through an energy field which encapsulates it, giving the weapons impressive range and damage output. Upon impact, the energy field is broken and deals some initial damage, while the mass of charged particles penetrates and burns through its target to devastating effect. This mild "double-tap" effect makes these weapons quite effective against many types of armor and even some types of deflector shield.
The standard Pulse Pistol is a common Cygnian handgun, used by law enforcement, military personnel, citizens and criminals such as Deneb alike. Its compact size makes it far less powerful than its larger cousins, but it's still powerful enough to tear through light armor and some lighter construction and vehicle materials.
The Hadarran variant is constructed on the Jeroban colony world Hadarra, where resources are more plentiful, and as a result these pistols tend to be superior than their more "efficient" Danajarban counterparts, featuring a full barrel to better direct the energy pulse, and more effective capacitors and generators, but come at a much higher cost and tend to weigh more and consume more energy per shot, making them less commonly used throughout Federation space.

-Lightbearer Dominion Infantry Rifle: A standard-issue assault rifle for the Lightbearer Dominion's military forces, these powerful automatic plasmacasters fill the role of assualt rifles like the M-16 or AK-47 on Earth. So far, the only character I've drawn holding one is Dominion infantryman Brynjarr, although these weapons would be commonly issued to any Dominion military or security personnel, and I've been meaning to depict Domec with a similar weapon at some point as well.
When I drew Brynjarr, I had actually drawn the rifle on a separate layer, and saved the outline separately with the intent of adding it to a weapons sheet of some sort later on.

-Markeb's weapons: Markeb, being a wealthy criminal from a powerful Hadarran crime family, has illegally modified his weapons for increased power, hence the purple glow of his pulseblade versus the typical blue-green hue the blade usually possesses, and his twin blasters also fire similarly colored energy bolts. Ihad initially made these shortly after the original "Federation Firepower" sheet, but never bothered to post them individually as the sword is just a recolor, and the blasters aren't all that interesting on their own.

-Lucifer Dominicus's Lance: Something I had posted separately to DeviantArt at some point before the Eclipse, I never bothered to post this on its own on FA/Weasyl for some reason. While initial art of Lucifer Dominicus depicts him with the same Gehenna Spear as the Geoterran Wolves (an obvious hint at his connection to the Geoterrans that mostly went unnoticed), I later decided he needed his own distinct spear, forged from Black Gehennite and Luciferrite, and worthy of being held by the Overlord of the Cosmos himself.
