My little hyena friend. He has seen eight rain-seasons.
That's Geoterran Hyena for "eight years old" (However, as a character design, he's going on 16 years old).

Random exposition dump so it's out there: Geoterran time-keeping acknowledges years, although depending on the race and region and other cultural differences they may describe age in years differently. The Hyenas (and most other savanna-dwellers) refer to the "rain-seasons", while the Wolves and others in the northern and southern lands count "Winters". More farming-oriented civilizations often refer to "Harvests". Terms such as "Cycle" or "Orbit" are also sometimes used by the more technologically advanced civilizations. Their year is approximately 400 days long, and a full rotation of the planet takes roughly as long as it takes Earth to fully rotate--24 hours.

The concept of a "month" is generally absent from their calendar, although with three moons with varying orbital cycles they have plenty of options! It is often replaced once again by "seasons", at least in regions with seasons that are easily differentiated. However, "Moons" are sometimes used to break the year into units smaller than seasons, and generally make use of the largest, most prominent moon for these calculations as it goes through phases similar to Earth's moon.
