[Filbert awkwardly waves and says "hello" in Baby]
Reminds me of work--parents will come in carrying very young children, and they'll be curious about why there's this man talking to them and their parents. They'll look at me, try to wave, make noises in baby, but if I say "hello" to them they just sorta freeze up. Children are strange.
Although, I've found that young children are oddly fascinated by cups. Just basic, fast-food drinking cups. First they look inside, then they try to drink from it, and at some point they crumple it. I guess it gets the little gears turning.

Well, I've noticed that sometimes the children are too busy playing to say "hello" to anyone. When they do see me, though, I will say "hi" to them...and they either say "hi" back (sometimes eagerly) or act a little shy.
