2015 art. A brown hyena, as it's a species I don't often see in anthro art.

When it comes to hyenas in anthro art, I see tons of spotted hyenas, a handful of striped hyenas, but the brown hyena seems very underrepresented.
Normally I don't bother naming a character unless I know for sure I'll be using them again, but despite his relative simplicity, I found myself really liking him and I was bored enough to find a name for him.

I went on to make him part of my "dog-soldiers" pack, despite being a hyena and not a canine. Perhaps a careless administrative officer assigned him to a canine platoon, who knows? The idea of a hyena being surrounded by dogs and finding them a bit... strange... works for me though!
