Danger Line (2015)

Moving into 2015 art with some military-themed stuff.

I've enjoyed drawing military-themed art in the past, but didn't do very much until 2015, which is the year I created a handful of solider characters that seemed pretty well-liked on DA. The original description references this turn of events.

Description from the original submission page:

Something I want to do in 2015 is get back into drawing more military-themed art. Most people know me as "that guy that draws cartoon critters in underwear and diapers" (a reputation I'm not 100% happy with, to be honest) and have no idea that I used to draw lots of this sort of thing years ago. I had an entire arsenal of made-up gun designs, vehicles, uniforms, bases, the works. So, expect to see more art like this. I even plan to name a couple of the grunts so I can develop them and their stories and show what life is like for the troopers that don't have superpowers or work directly alongside the heroes.
Admittedly, I'm a bit out of practice when it comes to these sorts of scenes, outfits and poses, so it'll be good to get back into drawing more stuff like this. That doesn't mean I won't be drawing silly stuff anymore, or that the soldiers won't be in silly situations themselves sometimes, but it means I will be drawing more characters in serious situations as well.

Here we see one of the soldiers moving through some rubble in one of the war-torn regions. He seems to be moving into position to engage the enemy, and he seems to have some pretty decent cover to work with as well. He also has the advantage in the "camo" department, having opted for brown fatigues and armor well-suited for this environment. Crouching and keeping low, he should have little trouble eliminating his targets
