More 2014 Ridgeback art. This one is from the same world as Rhill, and the same family of creature, but a different race from a different part of Terminus.
I was very proud of this one at the time, and looking back it still holds up overall, but I may revisit it in the future and make the rocks a bit less "perfect".

This tribesman may not have the luxury of a refrigerator filled with leftovers, but the nature spirits have generously supplied beetles beneath the rocks scattered throughout the desert of his home world. He has his pot to fill with beetles and insects, and takes care not to disturb the small plants that sustain his own food supply or disrupt the larvae of the beetles before they reach maturity. He's one of many such collectors who have set out to overturn rocks and debris in the vicinity of the tribal village. With any luck, the evening foraging will provide a bounty of beetles, grubs and worms for the night.

Another one of these desert-dwelling alien reptilian-mammal creatures. This one is part of a tribe of insectivores, adapted to take advantage of the supply of protein offered in this environment.
