Cenotaph: An empty tomb or a monument erected in honour of a person or group of people whose remains are elsewhere.

The Toress hail from a bridge covered end-to-end with an ancient, maze-like garden city named Arthique. Whoever construncted the seemingly senseless and immaculate buildings that cover the several dozens of kilometers wide and awfully long bridge remains unknown - it's only clear that they were not the same who built the bridges themselves. Most of Arthique is located "under" another bridge which seemingly is overflowing with water, resulting in perpetual rain in the city.
The caprine Toress call this strange and hostile land their home, even if they might have just migrated there in the past from a bridge that has been long lost in time. Quiet, careful and observant, they remain on the move throughout the city, while permanent settlements only exist in the outskirts. The center area of the city remains a dangerous place where "Eaters", sentient statuary blending into the environment, will inevitably hunt Toress down who look for long-lost riches in the lost gardens and palaces of Arthique. To fight these creatures, Toress Hunters will be equipped with fiery weaponry that can partially melt and injure the stone skin of these creatures.
