The text was a custom Illustrator job! I found a spritesheet for Pokemon Gen 1's font, used it to assemble a mock-up image (http://imgur.com/lh4MvQl) with the text that I wanted, and then used the mock-up to recreate the letters (and the border) that I needed. A lot of rounded rectangles and stroked lines were cut-up and rearranged.

Ugh, it's perfect!!
I would love for more people to take classic gaming pixel fonts and turn them into more versatile vector fonts. Stuff like the SM64 font has a lot of personality.

I think you're glossing over the most important bit, which is: where did you get/how did you make that dopeass font in the bottom textbox?
