That moment when you find yourself looking at your own skull...
Not exactly the start. More of the restart-after-a-little-progress. Can't really see the black foam on the inside, there's part of the jaw hardware and then minor tweaks I've made to this base. Long road ahead!
EDIT:
The 3D Printed skull is not of my design. Only the modifications I make to it. The print itself is courtesy of SparkyCanDo.
It is 3D printed, yes. The design looks sturdy because it...is sturdy? Not sure how to answer that one other than the fact that it is a thick print with proper reinforcement at stress points. As for the type of printer, I can't answer that one. The base is (so far) the only part of this project that I haven't created. I bought it from a very generous SparkyCanDo. I did consider getting my own printer (since I saw a decent one for $200) and work out my own, but I'm happy with this for my first attempt. It's a very dynamic and solid design that I've made a number of modifications to in order to fit my needs. Ensures that I've had a good starting point. Just puts me in a spot if I ever decide to remake this suit!
