The reason Sabina turned herself into a dragon and entered the video game world was because her son Tyler was trapped there. She was helped by Y.Y. (the developer), Paralari (a helpful NPC), and a variety of other trapped kids who had been turned into dungeon bosses.

Unbeknownst to everyone, the reason Paralari was so dynamic and friendly was because she had Tyler's soul. Tyler, unable to escape from the game's world, turned himself into Paralari so he would forget his own identity and not have to remember the world he came from and the people he thought he would never see again.

When Paralari entered the master room of the Soul Temple, she turned into a fusion of herself and Tyler with both of their memories.
