I have a lot of man+beast stories in my head. This was an experiment in drawing in a totally different style than I'm used to in an effort to see how it would work as a storytelling medium. I didn't like it to start, but speaking to a few other people online and in real life have me reconsidering it. It's an .005 micron pen drawing in my sketchbook, with a much larger scope that I later cropped down from. It's digital color with overlaid paper textures of different sorts, which gives it a sort of stained-glass or storybook element.

The white wolf is Siri, an very old original character of mine. The black wolf is Cain, her mate/husband and who was deceased in the original roleplays that created Siri. In their current incarnation, they are Great Mother Wolf and Great Father Wolf, old European gods of the forest. They have a history with the poor man pictured, a young man living somewhere at the end of the Paleolithic and the beginning of the Neolithic.
