With autumn rapidly approaching and harvesting time rounding the corner, the Turnberry Farm's produce was nearing its peak. Corn stalks were fully grown, seasonal delicacies were finishing their stages of ripening, and the deliciously sweet, tangy oranges were the biggest they had been all year. An aspiring farmer, young Megan liked to spend time with her father in the fields, checking crops and enjoying the "fruits" of their labor; staying inside the house meant an earful from her mother. After a morning's good, hard work, Megan was always delighted to be treated to the Farm's best-selling produce: their homegrown oranges. Her father was never one to turn her away from something so healthy, either; since he worked outside in the fields and the barn, he was in charge out there. When it came to anything indoors, Mrs. Turnberry was the tyrannic overseer. A top rule inside is that one cannot leave the table until all of the food they had been given is eaten, and it was followed unless they were feeling full enough to last them through the next day's meals.

It was always nice to be treated to something that, while not sugary or teeth-rotting, was something that was eaten freely instead of being forced down one's gullet.

A little fall piece I wanted to make that not only revealed a bit of Megan's history, but also had more story to it instead of just the characters. I was experimenting with "facial hair" on foxes for this picture, and I do not quite know how well it will work...ah, well.
