The glint in the eye is great; it adds life and makes the subject look alive, good job on that :D
Since this is flagged for critique request, I'll give my two cents! Don't place the subject smack in the middle of the frame, because the viewer will find it too quickly. You want to hold the viewer's attention as long as possible; that is how Art Wolfe defines interesting.
Additionally, I'd recommend cropping it some so the subject fills more of the frame. You can get two birds (squirrels?) with one stone by cropping it so that the squirrel isn't in the center of the frame :)
Good job with the angle of the shot, too. Putting the viewer on eye-level with the critter creates a feeling of connection :)
