Commission for Oz!
It was kind of hard to color this one. Colors aren't as vibrant on a Cintiq, so i kept having to squint and move the picture to my other monitor to see what it actually looked like, then move it back. i'll just say that dark colors can be a challenge. My bad eye doesn't help ;)
Photo refs were indeed used for this one.

oh, gosh, well i've gotta admit i have become super reliant on my hotkeys! why push 2 buttons to undo when you can just push one? :D
and i love my cintiq a lot. like a lot a lot a lot. it was a very special gift to me a few christmases ago. it's a little dimmer than most but i've fallen into the habit of checking my work on multiple monitors. at least 2 now, sometimes 3.

It's still a nice work nonetheless.
This said, talking about colors I heard the Yinova is pretty spiffy for the vibrancy of colors of their monitor tablet(which are cheaper than cintiqs to boot, with apparently better brush tracking with less cursor lag. Their only cons being less on-tablet hotkeys and a lower image resolution).
I've also got a monoprice monitor tablet myself which seem to be working nicely, though viewing angles are a bit tricky. I might get a monitor arm for when I'll be working from my desk proper rather than from the coffee table in the living room where I'm not testing the tablet after unpacking it today.
Really not disapointed by the purchase in anyways, for something that cost me as much as my medium size intuos4 for what's basically a 19" monitor tablet :)
