I don't think that "generic" is a bad trait for appearance of a character. There are many that overloads a character's design to make it different from the crowd, but they end up lacking in personality, which is clearly not the case with you! I love the way you draw birds/birdlike characters (such as griffin), and this genuinely made me laugh, this is something REALLY common to happen to anybody. Keep up the good work!
