Household servants throughout the Sarvolk kingdom enjoy many privileges--tailored clothing, good food, and clean living conditions--but Satserei has one privilege unknown to his fellow servants. Lord Hauldcrey took the fox into his care at a young age, and since then, he has treated Satserei more as a son than as a servant. The fox has been privy to Hauldcrey's life for years, and after the death of his wife, Satserei took on the role of Hauldcrey's comforter. Despondency still grips the lord, but Satserei's consolation remains an invaluable element of his daily struggle.

Here we see Satserei beside Lord Hauldcrey in his large, empty throne room. It's likely that the lord cleared his courtiers in order to get some peace and quiet, just before being timidly approached by his beloved servant. Will Satserei succeed in lifting his lord's spirits? Only time will tell.
