I've felt like drawing some Pokemon lately.

I have fond memories of both of these pinnipeds. The Seafoam Islands were a favorite haunt and level-grinding zone for me as a kid playing Pokemon Red, and a Dewgong was a powerful member of my brother's first Pokemon teams. In Silver and Crystal, I spent a lot of time in the Whirl Islands, so Seels were once again a common sight.

Flash forward to Pokemon Ruby. I first went to the Shoal Cave expecting to see my old friends. What I got were those blubberballs. Spheals.

Kid me eventually decided that while they were not Seels, they were an acceptable (and adorable) temporary substitute.
