This is Sahaliyan, she is the main character of "Sibyl" (a graphic novel I am working on). The story will be focused on her journey from cub to adulthood in a post-apocalyptic world. Sahaliyan is a tortured visionary, a curse bestowed to her moments after opening her eyes. I want to avoid spoiling major plot points in the story so that will be as much information about her I will divulge.
Her character development is giving me a lot of trouble. Trying to get illustrate the forced maturity while still maintaining her clumsy fluffy cub appearance is proving most difficult. I'm finding her face is immensely important to her design, her expression and eyes being the key to her personality. I feel like once I solidify her face the rest will fall into place. This is probably the first image, while relatively simple/speedpainty by my standards, where I really feel I captured the character I want to portray. Now to build upon that and solidify her design so it'll be consistent through the comic.
