Alternate occupation: Currently a stock executive for Sunshine Breads, Inc. (the same company the Avenger works for); in other words, he keeps track of how they’re doing, stock-wise, as well as in charge of those that buy and sell; formerly a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and later the Border Patrol
Original hometown: Wildcat City, Kansas, USA
Battle uniform: Supercostume of reddish-brown color with a red “TF” on the chest and red cape, but no boots, gloves, or mask. He fights barefoot.
Alternate clothing: Black suit with yellow tie and black slacks but goes barefoot otherwise when at work; t-shirt and blue jeans or shorts otherwise.
Background info: Thunder Fox is another furry that suffered bullying growing up, but somehow he was always able to peacefully resolve clashes with the bullies. His inspiration to join the Coast Guard and the Border Patrol later on all came from the successful careers of his father and grandfather (his father was a Coast Guard member and his grandfather was part of the Border Patrol; both have since died). He grew up having to deal with a brother with no voice (he was mute) that communicated only through the written word by means of Post-It notes. (Today, he’d use e-mail and cell phone texting if not communicating with someone next to him if he were alive; he died sacrificing himself to save train victims from a bomb by taking the bomb out the train and jumping with it, though the bomb exploded before he could hit the ground, and his dead body was found by the Bengal Lake.)

T.F. also had many things in common with Cripto (and with Tom the Patriotic Tiger), the big one being that he was bullied around for being the least talkative one in school (like Tom), and the bully used him as his primary target (as Louis used to do with Cripto). The difference between Cripto and T.F. was that T.F. has a way bigger patience level, and always calmly tries to reason with his foes.

He is bold and outspoken but saves it for the big things in life; Cripto tends to be bold and outspoken all the time, and sometimes it only leads to disaster, so he works hard to tone it down.

Additional info includes the fact that his cousin, Furious Fox (F.F.), also gained superpowers from criptonitroglycerite but couldn’t handle the stress of being a superhero, so he retired from the biz, returned to Canada, and became a Mountee for life. T.F. in his Coast Guard days has cooperated with Super Slash and his unit multiple times. Eventually F.F. decided to give superhero work another try when he had decided to step down from the Mountees after a considerable amount of years of service.
