Come forward friends, join with the circle. Settle before the warmth of the bonfires. We gather now as the air grows cool and crisp. The days grow shorter and the leaves turn as if to fire, before they fade away to embers which scatter and tumble and blow away in the breeze.

The changing of seasons is on the wind. The season of green and growth has passed, and now comes the time of the harvest. It is time we reflect on the past year and all that has come to pass. This is a time of reflection and purification.

Pass between the fires and allow them to cleanse your body, mind, and spirit. Allow the fires to burn away the burdens of the past, so you may rise renewed from the ashes as does the Phoenix, to burn more brightly than ever in the new year.

This is a hallowed time, when the veil between the worlds is weakest. It is a time to celebrate our ancestors and give thanks to them. It is a time to remember and honor those who have passed on to the spirit.

May the coming year bring you all the brightest of blessings.
