Slashassin's Creed: Flesh Toxin

Leon 13

People have been telling me my art isn’t that bad. I really do appreciate their support, but I sadly feel my art is very lacking. I made some rock textures for some of the background, which is why it looks somewhat uncanny.

My relationship with stealth mechanics is usually very negative. My first youtube commentary video involved perhaps my most hated forced stealth level in a video game ever, “Man of Influence” from The Operative: No One Lives Forever. Many games with the “play the way you want” moniker still often feature forced stealth sections, and I feel they still only be used for games like Outlast. Still, when Stealth is optional, it doesn’t hurt to use it until you’re made and then go psycho on everyone.

That said, Origins does have a fun tool to play with: The Flesh Toxin. Just inject some of this juice into a corpse and soon it radiates a poisonous cloud and when a suspecting enemy comes over to investigate the corpse, you hear a satisfying squelch sound that confirms the toxin has now infected him and does damage to him every minute or so. The best part? If the enemy dies while afflicted with the toxin, his corpse also radiates a poisonous cloud. If you leave an infected corpse in the middle of a busy path in an enemy base, chances are several soldiers will get infected and wander around for a while before they collapse and if they died in the right places, infect more unaware soldiers with the toxin, causing a satisfying chain of kills.

Sadly, some enemies are able to survive the toxin, stronger ones like the Brutes and quick assassins. Still, it’s super effective against the numerous “grunt” type enemies which frequently inhabit enemy bases even at higher levels, so it’s a very good tool to use and I wish other games with stealth featured it as well. Of course if it were in Ghost Recon Wildlands, that jackass Sam Fisher wouldn’t let you use it during his stupid ass mission.
