Castelvania Symphony of the Night. You start the game with super armor, a Super Shield, and Super Sword. And in my case, a Super Diaper Pin. Then you run into Death and he steals everything. It's like losing your sight, with the super equipment being the sight, and Death being blindness or disability. Even without your equipment though, you are later able to tear Death apart, that symbolizes being able to get past the disability and making something of yourself. And maybe then you can reclaim your super sword.
