Continuing the new fresh 2023 sketches I have another along the line of more advanced practice and details and just trying new things this time added in more details and tried new less static poses and some background / theming and since Arlo got the spotlight this time it's Leomane's turn to show off some of that adventuresome spirit in a genre I've loved for years Magic-punk!
This time we Leo deep underground all kitted out to smash some rocks and find something valuable or was he invited down there by someone... Hard to see whats on that scroll but it's got a regal tassel there, either way some more careful studying is going on as well as a little break since it's gotta be tough carrying that hammer around, a total fave weapon of mine!

Once again as part of my training to get better I did work from another reference I made ( the 3d figures in clipstudio are amazing! ) as again the initial sketch was good but I need to try and get a better grasp on some parts an anatomy and views and such ( some of the original sketch is still in this one), plus its good practice to see what works and doesn't Plus this came out looking even better! As usual some more tweaking is needed on some parts like the background and hammer and hands but I captured the essence of the idea so I'm super happy with this and as soon as I get to the colouring / blocking stage I'm gonna see if I can do proper backgrounds so this one will get a nice ink job.
As well added in an off white background to have that parchment feel.
