I was suddenly approached by the owner of three dogs that I was pet-sitting for them this past week with a question: would I be interested in doing a small sketch of all three as a commission? I of course said yes! With only two days left with the pups, and distractions aplenty, I had to be judicious about how I went about this little $50 multi-portrait.

The results, I must say, are very satisfying for me! I am thinking of offering these 'intimates' as a solid commission variant to the typical full-head portrait for those who want, well, that intimate interaction captured on a small piece of paper.

The three dogs are from left to right: Maddie, a rather tall hound-lab mix; Pepper, a fat yellow lab; Chloe, a small Sheltie mix. These are all older dogs that were all given up for one reason or another to the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and then found their ways into the home and hearts of their dear owners. And they've found their ways into my heart, too! They are all extremely sweet, and perfectly happy just being by your side and have a bit of a scratch or time with a ball. I love them for sure, and the title and caption that I've chosen I feel fits the situation very nicely. : )
