A commission for Shanrrosh. This is the piece that showcases some new techniques/brushes I discovered to help create better hide and wing textures. It sure is nice to have pretty much free reign on the level of detail that I like to delve into! Thank you so much Shanrrosh for your patience and generosity!

That lighting, with that subject and palette? Dramatic. Ever a delight to look at your attention the subtle, minute details of texture and form.

Shanrrosh!!! Seriously, those wings though. This is so crisp and so real, you're always moving forward with your technique. Always improving in every piece, I can tell it. :)

Aw, thank you! I did work pretty hard on this one to get it to a point that I was happy with. I'm glad that it shows! Cheers!

those veins! ... 0.0 ... making me want to steal your brushes

^^! Though I did draw the veins freehanded, the texture made to get the splotchy effects and fine parallel lines were from brushes (a sparsely-haired rake-like brush was used for the parallel lines). Cheers! : D
