I had completed this portrait a month back, but was just given the O.K. by the commissioner that it was to their satisfaction. Sadly I don't know the name of the cat, but I just adore him - I love big, squooshy kitties like this.

While lighter-colored animals are themselves nice to work on with how little pencil work they need, getting enough contrast is the biggest challenge, especially when you don't want to spend all of your time on the background.

Apologies for the quality of this image - it's not as sharp as I wished it were due to the photograph taken.
