Behold...The CORNFISH! by LeccathuFurvicael

Behold...The CORNFISH!

LeccathuFurvicael

The culmination of a hilarious moment in the Livestream chat, where comments began filtering in that it looked like Sam was holding an invisible object. Speculation first indicated the invisible object to be a giant corn cob. Then there was speculation of the object being a giant fish. Dragonhead then had the sheer audacity to step in with his genius. With a single thought, he created the delicious combination of what is now known as... the Corncob Fish (or Cornfish for short)!!!

In the end, Sam's jubilation could not be contained for this immaculate delicacy, made special just for him. And no jubilation shall ever be as radiant. XD

^^ XD I'm happy to hear that!

In fact I'm really smitten with the way you draw wings, and the sense of bulk and shape to his head is incredible.

Awgh, really?? I've felt that I've been a bit lax in my structural integrity lately, but I did make a pointed effort on this image somewhat. Thank you very much! :3 I don't get compliments like that very often.

Very really! I've been really enjoying seeing your work in my inbox and I've been paying close attention to wings because it's not often I see the fingers folded over and I really like that ^^; Your efforts with this one have paid off, I look forward to seeing more (and more 3D stuff, you're making me want to get zBrush, but I don't know how well my poor laptop would handle it).

Aw, thank you very much! I love having fellow scrutinizers of wing anatomy - it's very important for me to get them at least somewhat plausible for my own satisfaction.

One great thing I gotta say for ZBrush - it does not use the video card like other 3D modeling programs do, so you don't have to have a really robust card to deal with it - just processing power. I have a pretty standard little Dell Inspiron laptop with no real upgrades, and ZBrush runs much better than Maya does for sure. Cheers!!

Same, I like it to look passably feasible at the very least, odd looking wings jump out at me hard.
Oh really? Brilliant, I might see if I can give it a go, I have Blender, but I'd like to go a bit further with 3D stuff than that rather cumbersome thing can offer, though as a starting point it's very good (and free XD). How long have you been working with zbrush?

This is friggin' hilarious... Like the way you did the fish... quite the slight of hand to merge plant and animal and get something excitingly unified, lol!
