Went out on a geology field trip for school to Pisgah Crater, a small extinct cinder-cone volcano in the Mojave Desert. This is an overall view of the 1100ft tall cone.

The most interesting thing in this is the rusting structure jutting out of the side of the base. What was that, at one time, I wonder?
