Pisgah Crater by lazaruslong

Pisgah Crater

lazaruslong

Went out on a geology field trip for school to Pisgah Crater, a small extinct cinder-cone volcano in the Mojave Desert. We hiked our way to the summit and then looked down into the crater. The black terrain is due to the eruption releasing several square miles of basaltic lava flows.
