Lauren had made it to the lake as her transformation started to wash away the last of her stripes and zebra heritage. She felt her muzzle change to a bill, and her webbed hands rushed to her face. She was almost completely changed into her new species.

Separate toes on each foot wiggled, the membranous flesh between them perfect for swimming. Her tail was now flat and wide, designed to slap the water for speed. She thanked her luck that her clothes were still intact. The last thing she needed was to be naked right now.

Lauren tried to talk, but her voice came out as a squawk. "I sound so strange!"
