Character design and updates for a critter I made a while back.
Dismay (Faas Ru Maar... or just 'Maar' as everyone still calls him) was developed a while back for my pathfinder game as a constructed creature. He's still running about, of course, but his role has changed significantly since I first made him. I've been meaning to make a new reference sort of image of him for a while now and I guess this is basically it.

He originally had nine tails... and there was a lore reason for that, but... that lore has since changed and adapted to his new role so... there's no specific reason for the number of tails anymore. And drawing them all and making it still look nice was a pain in the ass, so... XD When I got finished with the seventh tail this time around I decided... "You know what? .....this is fine." XD So he has seven tails now. This is new canon. And hopefully will make him just the slightest less of a nuisance for people to draw.

And since there are two characters on display here, "Dismay" is the purple cat on the left. To the right is a new counter-part character I developed for another campaign entirely. This new white and pink kitty is known as "Grief" and she is effectively meant to act as a polar opposite to Dismay. They do NOT get along and are diametrically opposed in almost every way, in spite of having more or less the same absolute goal. But coloration and gender aside, they are physically identical.
