Video: Echolocation

Lanovran

This evening, I decided to serenade some of my aquatic friends at Kentucky's Newport Aquarium with a mysterious sort of sound that brings to mind the echoes of the deep. In this video, I am playing a Native American flute keyed to Am pentatonic, and made from eastern red cedar by my friend Leroy Cully, a terrific Creek/Seminole craftsman based in Oklahoma. The effects were created with my Vortex Walkabout, plugged into the aquarium's theater sound system.

Ooooh, rather haunting and yet beautiful too. Lovely stuff! How'd you get to do this in an aquarium, anyhow?

Thanks. I work there, and stuck around a bit after hours.

Aha, I see! Well, it really added to it, would be nice to see more videos in the same vein.
