While Gwendolyn was out adventuring a severe storm came up, and she ended up seeking shelter at a nearby farm until it blew over. Upon hearing through the ears of her elven champion that the spark had faded between the farmer and his wife though, The Goddess of Love decided her paladin could stay a little longer to help put things right. Love was her domain, after all.

After a night spent dreaming of The Goddess in the only space available, the barn, Gwendolyn woke up to find herself much more befitting her accommodations. While her hosts were initially confused by the goat-taur's overnight change in species and gender and number of limbs, mention of The Goddess put them at ease, and they certainly didn't mind having another set of hands that could also fill in for a small horse.

Over the next few days the work around the farm proceeded far smoother than it had before the paladin's arrival. Where they previously had fought over who would do what, and worried over the things they couldn't address, now they were making progress on improvements. Where they'd both been tired and irritable before, in the presence of this divine goat-taur, they felt... rejuvenated. It felt like they’d both been so focused on keeping the farm above water they hadn’t had time to appreciate what was right in front of them. Their matching, snow-white fur and curly horns, their cute little beards…

As Gwendolyn settled into her temporary lodging in the barn that night she smiled to herself, recognizing the bleating of goats having a 'romantic' evening together from the house. The Goddess did work in unusual ways... but she certainly was effective.

Another excellent taur YCH from Shinkei-Shinto! Been on a bit of a taur kick recently, but last one for now! ...although with how good this turned out, more taur is really tempting. Such confidence, such great gear, and such a great background!

And paladins that are also their own steed are best paladins. :3
