Thrall - Ghost - Under certain circumstances yet unknown, upon infection, the subject can sometimes instantly crystallize and shatter into a fine mist. Usually, that means the death of the host, but if the head survives the shattering, the host remains in an undead state. They are essentially alive, and yet no longer any air or sustenance to survive, and can no longer feel the sense of touch, heat, cold or pain. They are given the ability to manipulate the shape and configurations of their crystal mist cloud, as well as any surviving body parts at will and engulf prey at dangerous efficiency. Disturbingly enough, despite their capabilities, ghosts invariably take great pleasure in causing their victims as much pain as possible before infecting or dispatching them.

Ancient Sentinel - Believe it or not, crystal aenimas and other races used to get along. What is known as Thralls used to be known as "the Blessed". They truely were a blessing, as the transformations, and the aenima imprint they left in the minds of their hosts were there to guide and improve the life quality of their hosts. Breeder transformations are there to help the infertile, Engineer transformations are there to help those who perished too soon before realizing their calling, Taurian transformations didn't use to look that way, Temptress transformations help with finding a mate, Titan transformations help with the feeble and Ghost transformations are there to cull those undeserving of the blessed. Somewhere along the line, this union/symbiosis got severed, only to resurface later on, corrupted in its purpose, to enslave instead of guide their hosts. The Blessed, they all are gifted with ageless immortality, and they can grow to humongous sizes at 1000 years old, and by then, they have gained great wisdom. At around that point, they would have found someone they deemed worthy of passing their blessings on, and transmit them by a simple resolute touch. They all have very gentle demeanors, having their life goals achieved. They live out the rest of their days pondering in peace.

While most of them have disappeared after the rift, there are still some who would pass their untainted blessings on, and carry the true legacy of the aenima on. All of them mourn for the loss of their mother.

On a side note, while they avoid fights and are very slow to retaliate, if put in the presence of a Ghost, they will turn extremely aggressive and will attempt to terminate the Ghosts at any cost. Also, the scarves often found around their neck and shoulders are the skins that they've shed off once they begin to fully crystallize, and are tanned and kept as a memento.
