The Canvas on the Ground by Lacus

The students stared at the scene with mouths agape, they realized that this crumpled figure looked just like them. Except for his white, blank eyes.

When his chest started painting the floor shades of bright red, they couldn't bring themselves to call the boy, "Faggot" again.

The Canvas on the Ground

Lacus

This is what is called a Flash Fiction. The idea is to write a story with a beginning, middle, and end in as little words as possible.

I wrote this back in high school, and cried after I read it out loud to the class. I hope it also moves you.
