Quick sketch of a kubsque, one of the original species from my Lutam worldbuilding project. They're mammals who have lost their eyesight entirely - their
"eyes" have been reduced to vestigial blobs of tissue underneath the skin - and to compensate their other senses are incredibly fine-tuned. Kubsque have limited interactions with other established sentient species due to the fact that without technological help, their vocalizations are impossible for other organisms to understand. This same issue applies to many other species as well, but even the finest drikae technology cannot properly "translate" kubsque voices. Their relationships with other species are peaceful, though; kubsque have never been known for violence or dominance of others. Most of them just want to learn, educate others, and make awesome food.
