This at least applies to stuff that is PG as Disney's new sequel film, Maleficent Mistress of Evil (October 18), is rated.

No, this is not a simple tweak of a familiar animated fairy tale, the way Maleficent was before. Instead, the mistress of evil gradually becomes a large-scale, intractable action-epic, touching on themes of genocide, among other diseases.

It is a follow-up after five years, "Maleficent Mistress of Evil," flying a bit high, building on the central relationship, adding to Michelle Fiffer's regal appearance as a killer queen.

Maleficent loves "Beastie", as she still calls him, but isn't so thrilled about her marriage being, well, human. "Maleficent Mistress of Evil" opens in the US on 18 October.
