Chapter five introduces us to Kierlyn and Jenn, a mother and daughter lost and alone in the destroyed and sprawling guild center, left behind by their kin. We see a little more of The Complex, and what life is like inside the Commons as they look for food and safety. But who keeps killing off the kin and why?
