There was always a next Mission. There was always a new enhancement or implant. With every passing minute of her seemingly eternal imprisonment, everything that made her what she was was slipping away - her very flesh becoming weaponized, her tired and punished body becoming an ever more efficient and ruthless killing machine, just like her countless 'sisters'.
And she could do nothing but watch it all happen from the cold recesses of her mind. She prayed for the day when the Mission would simply become too much, and someone would finally stop her.
Then, she could finally have some rest.
