The sound of the wind passing through the trees, the light streaming through the treetops above, the smell of soil and leaves. The forest has always provided a tranquil place for this dragon to collect his thoughts...

With my previous drawings I've been very lazy with doing backgrounds, and it really took a lot away from the overall quality of the images. I spent a good few hours doing the background here on experimenting with brushes and trying things out. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, though I'm sure I can do even better in the future. I won't always spend this long on backgrounds, I can take things away from what I learned here to make even a simple quick background look better I think.
