Despite his best efforts to hide them, the jackal boy saw Leons pet dragons while running an errand for his father. Dragons were classified as an immediate threat and if the hatchlings were found they would surely be destroyed and their owners outcast. However, unable to turn down the excitement gleaming in the childs puppy eyes, Leon gave in and took him on a hike away from the village, where he could hold and play with the hatchlings in peace. It would become a habit they would keep for many months.
