I'm amazed by this artist's keeping to a very complex outfit for what was supposed to be a simple color sketch! That's a lot of detail!

This is Koda's winter sort of traveling outfit in hostile areas. Chainmail, padded surcoat, inner and outer cloaks, just a bit of gold thread to show some pride and nobility without being ostentatious.

It looks here like he's getting in a few swings with a heavy two-hander, probably just to loosen up after a rest during a long journey on a typically cold day. Got to be ready for anything that might come along, after all!
