Black and white is great because you can look at form through value without being distracted by color; the subtraction of one form of information makes what remains all the more clear.

The appeal of black and white pieces over colour (if I remember correctly) has something to do with there being many more receptors in our eyes for light and dark than there are for the specific colours of light itself. That said, black and white or colour, your art is a treat for my eyes.

The lighting in this piece is phenomenal. Just adds to the already beautiful form and makes it really jump off the page.
