Gazzah: Become Piñata by Kludge

Gazzah: Become Piñata

Kludge

Reference sheet for @mr_spiggs on Twitter. T-posed and ready to be 3D modeled by the commissioner.

I don't usually do ref sheets because my art style will usually mess with how a design is read, but this one went pretty well, given the angles. I was also given a bit of free reign as to how the markings would appear on this character. Gazzah is typically just a normal bird rather than a piñata bird, so I made a few decisions that felt more piñata to me. Quite a refreshing piece.

That looks pretty cool--your style is pretty suitable for a pinata character! :)

Thank you, I'd love to draw more of them (other than my own one, but also my own one as well). There are some fun things you can do with the constructions of their bodies.

        You’re most welcome! :)

I wonder if these would make good adopts? I know you don’t do many adopts, but since these kinds of characters are great in your style, it would give you a chance to create designs and colors—and maybe people would like to give them a new home? :)

Ooh, maybe. I can't remember the last time I did adopts, outside of DeviantArt point adopts in my early teens, but wow. Piñata adopts sound pretty up my alley. I'll keep that in mind.

It might be worth consideration—especially to get creative juices flowing in these kinds of characters! :D

    piñata ❤ love it.

I think your style does lead really well to 3D. I just finished up a 3D model a few weeks back actually so Blender is fresh in my mind...
Looking at the front view I can already tell how I would map out the faces on the beak, it'd go very smoothly. If you can imagine where you'd put vertices when you draw then you're set... that is some hard work to imagine the process before you begin.
    Great job as always tho.

      Thank you 🍬

If I ever do another 3D model project for myself, making one of my own piñata would be neat. I did quickly throw together a model for myself with my skunk a few years ago for use in Tower Unite, but it would be cool if I really sat down with things and worked on something like that for a while.

I'd love to see it but the link is giving me a 403 forbidden error... hmm.
I've made two of my models VR compatible (.vrm)- working on a 3rd soon, so I could hypothetically use them in VRChat or any other program that uses that format... but I'm pretty shy when it comes to online games still, so I just gotta work up at confidence which is the real hard part for me than modeling and rigging and programming. Maybe some day...

Strange, try this one instead: https://twitter.com/KludgesArt/status/1311017123351724033

Understandable. For me, it's just not having the time for gaming in general, dealing with school and life and all.

Oh that's super cool, I love the particle effects. VRChat has a similar system I know and there are some really cool things you can do with it. I'll have to look into Tower Unite at some point I suppose, I had some steam friends
play it but never picked it up myself. Thanks for sharing though.
