I feel that front facing character design thing so much.

Heh, yeah. Off and on, I'd been thinking of how I've drawn him facing at about a 3/4 angle, and since I didn't put too much thought into his cheeks there, I realized just how flat his face would be, based on that.

In actuality, I'd say his cheeks are about 4 quadrilateral planes, which meet to a point, around where the pink blush piece of paper is. It'll make a lot more sense when I finally get around to making a 3D model (or remake the "fur"suit head I did a long while back).

Yep, that's how I would make sense of it, though in most cases when I cannot think of anything, I just avoid front angles entirely or morph the face a bit to look more natural, even if it doesn't make exact 3D sense. Or just accept they look kind of silly.. I animate a lot of cartoony non-human characters and I just come to the conclusion that things are bound to look kind of ridiculous, there's an entire subreddit dedicated to Simpsons characters from front angles and it's like: I never even thought of that.

And wow, the suit head is cool- I don't see many pinata 'fur'suits, good luck if you decide to remake it, I don't know the first thing about planning a suit.
